Wine flight: 3-2 oz. pours of different wines grouped together by varietal, region, country, or just because they felt like putting them together.

A candle flickering on every table reflects the romantic aura created by wine label murals, red paper lamps hanging over the mahogany bar and an entire wall of bottle cubbies. More than 500 wines can be ordered by the bottle, glass or flight.

Merlot-colored drapes and polished concrete flooring give this local winery a no-nonsense feel. The lounge and tasting area is ideal for private parties and large groups. In back, a full-production winery turns out wines from the owners' Cathedral Mountain Vineyards near Alpine, Texas. Choose from full-bodied grapes such as tempranillo, mourvedre, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and grenache. Take an evening stroll around the historic downtown square in McKinney for an art walk, which is hosted on the second Saturday of each month by Galleria d'Arte, Art Institute of McKinney and supported by D'Vine Wine of McKinney. There will be great live jazz on the square and many shops will stay open late. Our winery will feature a local artist and stay open late to support the local galleries so stop by to see some great local art and enjoy some award-winning wine & jazz.(8/06 – 1/07)

Swirll, Dallas' Downtown Winery, invites you to an evening of tastings and light appetizers. As you enjoy the old-world Tuscan ambiance of Swirll Winery, we will explore the art and knowledge of wine and winemaking. Swirll is located in the historic Davis Building at 1311 Main St, between Field and Akard. Parking is available in the adjoining 11-story City Park Garage at the corner of Field and Elm, with entrances on both Field and Elm. Parking rate is only $2 for the evening after 5 pm and all day on the weekends.

On Saturday, October 14th, 2006, join us for a wine and food "Grand Tasting" for both the food connoisseur and the wine aficionado. Sample several wines - both renowned and undiscovered - from all over the world, accompanied by wonderful samples of our new cheese's, coffees, chocolates, olive oil and more. All items will be available for purchase.

There are thousands of red wine grapes other than Cabernet. While it is the favorite of many, there are many other favorites to be discovered. Come out for a great evening of fun and learn a little too! Includes wines, cheeses, class notes, instruction and gratuity. Syrah and Shiraz - same grape, different name. Syrah, or Shiraz, can take many forms and is used in several blends, not to mention it's vinified almost anywhere grapes can be grown. Native to France's Rhone River Valley, Syrah has become a very popular grape in the United States and Australia. It produces robust wines with a great deal of color that match very well with more flavorful foods such as strong game, lamb and barbecued food. Learn to tell the difference between a jammy Australian Shiraz, an elegant, peppery French Rhone Syrah and big, meaty US-produced Syrah at this tasting class.
